Okmulgee, Oklahoma – Mar. 30, 2021 – Liberty Partners is pleased to announce the release of a new Part 27 TPED AML STC SR09921AC. This AML STC permits helicopters operators to use a wide variety of portable electronic devices including Wi-Fi, Cellular, and ‘mission-specific’ carry-on radios. This AML STC is currently approved for use on the Bell 407 and Airbus AS350 Series with additional models to be added as customer requests are received and the demand for in-flight connectivity continues.
The STC has been authorized for use on Bell 407 and Airbus AS350 Series operated by HeloAir, Air Resources, Firehawk Helicopters, and Helicopter Express. These helicopters are utilized to support USDA Forest Service playing a role in wildland firefighting, search and rescue, and other critical missions throughout the United States.
This new STC expands Liberty’s extensive TPED certification program established under Part 23 STC SA11158SC and Part 25 AML STC ST11071SC to now include Part 27 rotorcraft under AML STC SR09921AC. Prior to the release of STC SR09921AC, Liberty reached a milestone certifying 1,000 fixed-wing aircraft for TPED tolerance, solidifying its impact on the inflight connectivity (IFC) market. An additional AML STC project for Part 29 transport category helicopters has already received FAA acceptance and is pending completion of first article testing.
